We have attended the Plunkett Cruisin for three years – 2015, 2016 and 2017. We are very grateful to Mr. Plunkett for his support of this charity by providing us a venue for sharing our valuable information. It is an excellent event and one we look forward to every year!
Plant Matter Kitchen hosted Let’s Go Vegan For Kids, a three-course, vegan meal on May 25, 2017 at the restaurant 162 Wortley Road, London, Ontario. Charlene, our Founder and Chair, is a global speaker. She speaks across Canada and internationally. Her most recent Canadian and international presentations have been in the United States, Europe, Ottawa, Parliament Hill, and other parts of Canada. Charlene is an author and has developed a theory of digital supervision, which is the basis of all presentations for the charity. She donates a portion of the proceeds of her book “Digital Sexual Victims: True Cases” to Child Pornography Hurts. She has also written a stage play based on her theory of digital supervision, which is performed on behalf of the charity at scheduled times.
Our 2nd Annual Internet Sense For Internet Safety event was held October 19th, 2016. To our many sponsors, friends and attendees – a very sincere thank you for supporting this event. Many people attended and were overwhelmed with the information they learned about the crimes and how to protect their children. Excellent evening!!

On June 6, 2016, our Chair, Charlene Doak-Gebauer, was invited to speak on Parliament Hill to Members of Parliament, Senators and Parliamentary Secretaries. Free Them organized the event. It was an honour to represent Child Pornography Hurts. Charlene gave an educational presentation about the crime of child pornography and how it relates to human trafficking. Thank you for Mr. Cliff Ford for his powerful information shared with everyone. His personal experience with having a perpetrator apprehended through his own supervision of his child, was extremely beneficial to all in attendance. Mr. Ford gave many helpful ideas for parents to consider when engaging in child protection methods.
